On the morning of March 29th, my family and I received the heartbreaking news that our beloved mother, Evelyn Garcia, had passed away unexpectedly. What should have been a simple night out to unwind turned into a devastating loss. Evelyn, who was known for being the life of the party, full of energy and always dancing, left us far too soon. She was a loyal friend, someone who would do anything for those she loved. While she may have seemed serious to most, those who truly knew her knew her as a playful, big kid despite her age.
For over a decade, Evelyn worked at the Veterans Hospital, and more recently, she dedicated her time as a school aide at M.S. 391 The Angelo Patri Middle School. Her sudden death, which medical examiners attribute to cardiac arrest, has left us in shock. Since she passed away away from home, we have requested an autopsy and have a long journey ahead of us.
At just 58 years old, we are struggling to process this loss while also facing the overwhelming challenge of covering funeral and related expenses. We are humbly asking for your support, whether through prayers or financial contributions, to help us during this incredibly difficult time. Every little bit will make a difference, and no act of kindness is too small.
