In Loving Memory of Tabita Serban

To Tabita’s family, friends, and kind-hearted supporters,

With deep sorrow and heavy hearts, we share that our dear Tabita went to be with the Lord. On March 28th, 2025 at just 27 years old, she peacefully passed on to eternal glory after a difficult and courageous battle with cancer. She had a heart for serving others, was loved by many, and left a lasting impact on all who knew her. Her faith and radiant spirit touched countless lives, offering hope even in the midst of her illness.

In the wake of her passing, many have asked how they can offer support. Losing someone so dear and young is an unimaginable burden. Any support—whether through a donation, a prayer, or simply sharing this page—will help lighten the weight of this loss. For those who wish to support her husband Dani Serban through a donation during this difficult time, we are deeply grateful.

Your generosity, love, and prayers mean the world to us as we grieve and honor Tabi’s memory. For each and every one of you who have reached out, offered comfort, and stood by us during this time, we thank you.

Her Story:

Tabita and Dani’s love story began on July 11, 2018, when they met in Paris during a family Europe trip. Their love grew over the years, and they married on August 8, 2021, beginning a beautiful life together. They made their first home in Romania, spending time with Dani’s family and traveling to over 16 countries before moving to the U.S. on October 22, 2022. Together they built a life of love and fulfilled dreams, including buying their first home with a beautiful garden in Lincoln, CA.

Tabita had a heart for giving, always putting others before herself. She adored her parents and 12 siblings, often bringing home plants to add to her mother’s garden and found joy in giving her nieces and nephews thoughtful gifts.

Tabi was also a selfless and kindhearted nurse. She worked at Adventist Rideout Hospital up until her unexpected diagnosis in November 2024, marking the beginning of her journey battling cancer. She was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia, which came as a shock to herself, Dani, the family, and even the doctors. On February 13, 2025, Tabi was admitted to the hospital as the cancer advanced rapidly, leading to many complications and intubation. The medical staff was continuously hopeful for improvements in her condition following various treatments.

Tabi fought hard in the ICU for 43 days, being fully intubated and sedated for the majority of her fight. She was sustained by prayers, fasting, and the love of her husband, family, friends, and the broader church community. In her closing hours, the family spent precious time praying and singing songs of praise by Tabita’s side. Although she did not have a voice to sing with us, we felt the undeniable presence of God. It was a moment of deep peace and comfort.

Dani is a loving husband, strong in the face of a challenging circumstance, and was at his dear Tabi’s bedside every single day. Dani and Tabita’s loved ones, both in America and Romania, prayed daily, and never lost hope for a miraculous recovery. Tabita passed peacefully on Friday, March 28th 2025. Although her absence will always be felt, we are emboldened by the belief that she now rests in the arms of our Savior, free from pain and illness. She has conquered every trial and is now standing in the presence of God in eternal peace and love.
