This is our beloved Great Dane. His name is Duke. With a heavy heart, he passed away on March 26h, 2025.
It was 8:45 am. We got up with him, and he went outside and just collapsed and started bleeding profusely out of both ends. We rushed him to the vet, and that’s where we found out his stomach flipped not just once but multiple times.
I’m asking for anyone’s help to pay for his cremation, etc. Duke blessed us when I got talked into adopting him at 7 weeks old. This certain Great Dane is no ordinary Great Dane. His full name is Duke of Langmeyer for the reasons that he would go for walks around our neighborhood, and every single person for blocks would come out, no matter what time, just to say hello.
He’s the most amazing, lovable, docile dog. He tells those he loves, ‘I love you.’ He protects the smaller dogs in our home with his life. But the one person that is in this house he loved so much, and I know we had a bond for life. He got attached to my fiancé Andrew, and between him and me, he was so spoiled along with our other 3. We even tucked him in with his green blanket. He was well taken care of by all. He had his own personality. He is the definition of a gentle giant. He’d even babysit your kids better than a human. He loved babysitting most of his family, and even the deer would come and hang out with him.
He deserves the best.
But I only have till tomorrow night. If I don’t come up with at least half, they are going to throw him away like trash.
He’s not trash. He is our hero, our ride or die. This was my baby, and he needs to be with this family. So please, if you have ever loved an animal or person with this kind of heart, we would be ever so grateful if we could hit our goal ASAP. God bless you all.
